The National Honor Society (NHS) is a prestigious recognition program for high school students who show achievement in scholarship, leadership, service, and character.
Students are selected for membership through our school chapter by a five member Faculty Council. Candidates must meet the chapter's requirement for scholarship, service, leadership and character in order to be inducted to the National Honors Society.
Continued participation in service projects is required to retain membership. Members must also maintain the chapter's required cumulative GPA.
Under NHS regulations, each chapter must do service projects in which each member must be actively involved.
One of the annual goals of the Gloria Hoffman Snyder Chapter is to provide academic support to students in need of extra assistance outside of the regular classroom through our NHS Peer Tutoring Program.
